…should perhaps be the new slogan of Fox News, or at least FoxNews.com. The latest indignity to the institution of journalism comes in the wake of today’s fatal shooting at Virginia Tech, in a totally necessary and not at all capitalizing article recalling major school shootings of the last decade. Their definition of “major” aside (I don’t consider a student shooting himself to be major, just a personal opinion on a day when 33 students were killed by, you know, someone else), let’s look at some of the editorial errors they missed in their rush to be the first to prey on the nation’s sympathies:
