Consumerist.com posted this lovely conversation between a customer and their service department, who apparently believe that a penny is worth the same as a dollar. This is seriously unbelievable to listen to; the fact that at least four different people (according to the final manager reading off the account history) working in customer service at Verizon simply do not understand basic Jr. High mathematics is beyond comprehension. I honestly have no idea how this guy could be that calm.
